Netflix to launch Rs 299 plan in India. Netflix will charge Rs 299 a month for a “Mobile+ plan”. According to an Economic Times report, Netflix in India has brought this new entry-level plan on a pilot basis. Netflix has named this plan ‘Mobile +’. Currently, this plan is in the testing period. In this period, Netflix will charge Rs 299 per month for this plan. Netflix is trying to increase its user base with this cheap plan.
New Netflix Mobile+ plan, allows users to stream content on just one device at a time. However the Mobile+ plan allows users to stream on a computer/laptop as well in phone and tablets.
Spokesperson of Netflix told to BGR India “We launched the mobile plan in India to make it easier for Netflix. We want to see if members like the added choice Mobile+ brings. We will only roll it out long-term if they do get positive response.Netflix had fewer than half a million subscribers. Today, it has 203.66 million paying members. And the company’s market cap is well over $200 billion
