Tik Tok & Wechat banned in USA starting today

Trump Administration ordered to Ban TikTok and WeChat From U.S. App Stores from 20/09/2020. From Sunday midnight Tik tok and wechat is gone from play store and apple store for usa mobile users. Because of this Wechat and have seen biggest spike in download of app in last 2 years. ahead of a ban on new downloads from the US Commerce Department. Sensor Tower showed WeChat had 10,000 installs in the US on Friday alone. That’s the largest number in a day since 7th/10/2019. Video platform Tik tok have also seen 12% spike in downloads from Thursday. ByteDance Beijing based tech company which is parent company of Tik tok is in talk with American companies in bid to create ‘Tik Tok Global’ company. USA is 2nd largest user base for Tik Tok after India banned Tik tok, and tik tok is not in the mood of losing it after Indian ban.

Paytm removed from play store for violating play store guidelines

Paytm Indian payment and service provider app, owned by One97 Communications Ltd, is removed from play store for violating play store guidelines. Google said that Paytm has repeatedly violated Play Store’s policies. It believed the app was violating its new guidelines on online gambling or contests. “We have the same goals for our gambling policy. We don’t allow online casinos or support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting. This includes if an app leads consumers to an external website that allows them to participate in paid tournaments to win real money or cash prizes, it is a violation of our policies,” Google said on a blog post. Reports claim that google is in touch with Paytm to resolve the issue and bring back paytm to playstore. Paytm informed it’s user on twitter saying it will be back soon and users should continue using Paytm as normal. Facebook's Instagram is Spying through camera, Lawsuit Alleges

Tech giant Facebook Inc is again being sued. The lawsuit alleges that Instagram is spying on it’s user through camera, even they are not being used by user. Facebook denied the reports and blamed bug for accessing camera when app is not used. Company said they are fixing the issue of false notification of camera using by Instagram. The complained is filed by Instagram user Brittany Conditi, on Thursday in federal court in San Francisco, New Jersey. In complaint Brittany alleges that camera is accessed by Instagram intentionally for the sensitive personal data collection of users. Facebook has declined to comment.
